Monkey see, monkey do

I was putting Marietta down for a nap a couple days ago and brought Jack Benjamin into the bed with us.  Before Marietta drifted off into dreamland, JB got hungry and started to nurse.  Marietta opened her eyes, reached over and grabbed his little hand, paused while looking at the ceiling then did sign language for “Amen”.  How sweet!  She realized he was eating and wanted to make sure his food was blessed.  We pray every day before meals, and if we happen to forget she grabs our hands and looks up at us like she can’t believe we forgot to pray.  Little eyes are always watching.

About Oh, the Places We've Been!

In 2008 I married Jack, the love of my life and the only man that could ever keep up with me. Instead of the nice little French Colonial with a white picket fence, we opted to make our home on the 46-foot catamaran "Let it Be". Since living on a sailboat we've had two kids and sailed thousands of miles along the coast of Central America, the United States, the Bahamas and currently Baja California. Our family of four is always ready for the next adventure and we’re never quite sure where it will take us next. Oh, the places we still have yet to go!

So sweet and so true. Children learn a great deal just by watching even when we might not think they are paying us any attention.
I also enjoyed the tour of Kitty Hawk. Looking forward to the next tour post.
    Have a great weekend!

I hope all of you are doing well. Have you ran into any bad weather recently? Seems like here in South Carolina ( about 1 1/2 hrs from Charleston) we have afternoon thunderstorms that can be bad at times. Now we are getting into the hurricane season. I wish the best for your family and may God be with each of you as you travel. I would love to have the opportunity to experience the adventures that your family is taking. Take care and God bless.
